Traceability Routes for Magnetic Measurements (TRaMM)
Overview
Magnetic measurements are vital to support current EU challenges in fields such as electrical mobility, health, power transformation and harvesting, clean, affordable and secure energy, information and sensor technology. In spite of their essential role, only very few national metrology institutes have the capabilities to perform traceable measurements of magnetic quantities. Consequently, the adoption of novel technologies and materials is hindered by the lack of a local expertise that research and development activities in academia and industry could exploit. The project will extend the capability of performing traceable magnetic measurements to NMIs with a potential market and stakeholders’ interest in this field.
